What began as a passion project quickly grew into a global fragrance house, beloved by customers and retailers alike. Today, Michael Malul is a team of artists, creators, and fragrance lovers dedicated to perfecting the craft. Every scent is thoughtfully composed to evoke emotion, tell a story, and leave a lasting impression.

Roger Howell, master perfumer, is one of the most recognized perfumer authorities in the world, using both his creative and scientific expertise to compose fragrances for thousands of grateful clients. For nearly 10 years, he has held the position as the Vice President and Chief Perfumer of a major U.S. fragrance manufacturer.

Frank has always been sensitive to scents around him and has vivid memories of pungent barnyard odors and fresh rain at his uncle’s farm in Germany, where he was born. Later, after formative years spent abroad in the Netherlands and France, his interest in scent deepened.
Upon his graduation from ISIPCA, Frank composed his first fragrance – a tiaré flower – which both galvanized his fine fragrance career and was a stunning homage to his Tahitian wife.

During Chelariu’s last year of school in she worked in research for aroma chemicals, where her journey into perfumery began. Her studies started with a perfumery course organized by IFEAT (International Federation of Essential Oils & Aroma Trades). Chelariu moved to the US in 2000, working as a perfumer’s assistant. There, she had the freedom to pursue her dream. In 2014, Chelariu joined one-time mentor, Honorine Blanc, at a major fragrance house where she now works as a Perfumer.

Travel has been a lifelong passion for Gil, both professionally and personally. Trilingual (French, English and German) and formally educated in Geneva, she earned a master's in biology, followed by an intensive education in perfumery. She then spent three years as a perfumer in Germany, followed by four months in Japan. Highly sensitive and astutely observant, Gil thrives on the cultural exposure of working internationally.

Clément thinks of his creations as “a balance of heart and mind.” He is a perfectionist who prefers to focus intently on a project, often finding it hard to “let go” of his fragrances. “I love to truly get to know my formula. Only then can I find the best balance. A perfumer must never lose a sense of wonder. I love smelling with my boys – rediscovering scent through their eyes. Their innocence and fearlessness help remind me that what I do every day is joyful, and very, very beautiful.”

Ilias fervently enjoys delving into what he calls his “abstract olfactive forms” with joy and passion: “The moment an idea becomes a fragrance is a magical and promising one.” He describes his work as requiring a combination of talent, technique, unflagging effort, and good fortune. He believes that he is not alone in this creative adventure: “A fragrance is also brought to life with people who inspire you. Together, we create something beautiful.”
